
Director, Ancillary Sales – Marketing Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Oversee corporate distribution systems, general agents, brokers, and other market support personnel.
• Strategize product development, marketing services, production, and profitability across designated states or regions.
• Lead efforts in marketing, recruitment, and motivation of general agents, brokers, and other market support personnel.
• Seek new distribution channels for Companion Life products.
• Inspire general agents and brokers through visits and seminars to effectively market products.
• Develop, advise on, and execute policies aimed at improving production profitability and service standards.
• Create marketing and sales themes, promotions, and sales collateral.
• Monitor loss ratios and persistency while implementing necessary corrective measures.
• Develop or enhance group products, recommending pricing, product design, filing, direct mail, and compliance requirements.
• Manage marketing, sales, renewal, and servicing of Companion Life products from a field office without on-site marketing support staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Marketing Management, or a related field, OR four years of relevant work experience, OR a combination of education and work experience totaling four years.
• Six years of experience in insurance sales and/or insurance marketing.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Proven sales, marketing, and/or underwriting expertise.
• Deep understanding of the agent/broker sales and marketing processes.
• Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and make informed decisions.
• Strong judgment skills.
• Proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Basic proficiency in business mathematics.
• Strong analytical or critical thinking skills.
• Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
• Capability to direct, motivate, and evaluate the performance of others.
• Ability to manage confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in the sales negotiation process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Department of Insurance licensure must be acquired within 60 days of hire in the state of employment.
• Willingness to travel up to 60%, including overnight trips.
