Director Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Project Management & Leadership: Autonomous execution and leadership of accounting and back-office initiatives.

• Accounting & Financial Statements: Engage in pertinent accounting issues for our clients, such as the preparation of annual financial statements that include the management report and notes, or consolidated financial statements following HGB or IFRS standards.

• Interim Leadership Roles: Assume senior interim roles (e.g., Head of Finance or Director of Accounting) at client organizations.

• Optimization & Automation: Discover and implement effective processes for accounting, as well as month-end and year-end closings, along with selecting and deploying appropriate finance and ERP tools.

• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with tax advisors, auditors, investors, CFOs, and tax authorities.

• Business Development: Aid in client acquisition through up-selling and cross-selling within current mandates.

• Project-based Collaboration with Clients: Primarily remote work, with on-site presence as necessary.

• Proven experience in project management and leadership within accounting and finance.

• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS standards related to financial statements.

• Ability to take on interim leadership roles effectively.

• Experience in optimizing accounting processes and implementing financial tools.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong business acumen with a focus on client development and relationship management.
