Director, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the preparation of all essential financial statements

• Collaborate with the FP&A Manager to guarantee that all financial reports are accurate and delivered on time

• Take ownership of managing cash balances and any available lines of credit

• Work alongside the FP&A Manager on forecasting cash requirements

• Complete the annual audit and coordinate with auditors on technical issues

• Oversee tax consultants to maintain partnership accounts, K-1s, partner communications, and manage partnership filings/compliance as well as sales and usage tax submissions

• Act as a liaison with the corporate tax team of the parent company to facilitate the preparation of income tax provisions and other tax-related entries for GAAP accounting

• Manage the processing of all accounts payable and receivable

• Ensure the accuracy of financial data and verify that all financial transactions are recorded correctly

• Create and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

• Collaborate with the VP of Finance and the FP&A Manager to provide financial guidance and support to department leaders

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license

• Advanced understanding of GAAP and federal and state tax regulations

• Excellent organizational and time management abilities

• Capable of effectively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
