Direct Support Professional – ASL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Assist with daily living activities, including meals, hygiene, and organization.

• Facilitate community access, shopping, errands, and recreational outings.

• Provide emotional regulation support through calm and structured methods.

• Establish clear boundaries and consistent expectations.

• Aid in household maintenance and organization.

• Promote independence and foster personal responsibility.

• Communicate updates with care teams effectively.

• Complete all necessary documentation as required.

• Help create a safe, predictable, and respectful environment.

• Deliver one-on-one in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.

• Current auto insurance that meets state requirements is essential.

• Ability to successfully pass a background check is required.

• Must be comfortable providing personal care support.

• Fluency in American Sign Language is mandatory.

• Preferred: experience in caregiving, Direct Support Professional (DSP), behavioral support, or roles related to intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

• Preferred: experience in supporting individuals with I/DD.

• Preferred: strong communication skills and proficiency in setting boundaries.

• Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification is advantageous.
