This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Craft high-impact, conversion-oriented copy for advertisements, emails, sales pages, social media, video scripts, blogs, and various other channels.
• Transform clinical research, customer insights, product unique selling propositions (USPs), and briefs into clear, precise, and persuasive copy.
• Develop engaging hooks, leads, headlines, subject lines, bullet points, offers, calls-to-action, and sales arguments.
• Conduct research on clinical studies and translate ingredients, dosages, mechanisms, and outcomes into engaging product narratives.
• Evaluate performance metrics to discern effective strategies, identify shortcomings, and determine next testing steps.
• Adjust tone, format, pace, and depth across the entire funnel while preserving consistent messaging and brand voice.
• Discover new perspectives through customer reviews, testimonials, research articles, competitor funnels, product specifics, and customer concerns.
• Generate both short-form and long-form content, including ad hooks, descriptions, emails, sales pages, and video sales letter (VSL) scripts.
• Gather customer insights from reviews, surveys, testimonials, comments, competitor websites, sales calls, and clinical studies.
• Create SEO, AEO, and GEO content that effectively answers questions while maintaining a warm and human tone.
• Ensure all health-related copy is truthful, well-sourced, compliant, accurate, and reliable.
• Edit copy for typographical errors, transitions, unsupported claims, phrasing, context, and clarity.
• Utilize AI tools for research, brainstorming, outlining, generating variations, and increasing efficiency while applying strategy, judgment, empathy, and final refinement.
• Collaborate with marketers, designers, video editors, stakeholders, and fellow writers; integrate feedback and revise work accordingly.
• Oversee multiple projects, revisions, research tasks, feedback loops, and deadlines while communicating any obstacles promptly.
• Produce customer-centric copy that addresses women's concerns, beliefs, fears, needs, and trust.
• Provide a resume, cover letter, and writing sample that includes quantifiable achievements and sample results when possible.
• 3–5 years of demonstrated copywriting experience.
• A proven portfolio showcasing conversion-oriented ads, emails, landing pages, and sales pages.
• Strong skills in direct response copywriting, including hooks, leads, headlines, subject lines, bullet points, offers, calls-to-action, and sales arguments.
• Capability to transform product features into customer benefits.
• Proficiency in researching clinical studies and conveying scientific information clearly, accurately, and persuasively.
• Results-driven mindset employing metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates (CVR), cost per acquisition (CPA), open rates, click rates, rankings, traffic, and revenue.
• Ability to write across the full funnel including ads, emails, sales pages, video scripts, organic posts, and blogs.
• Experience in crafting both short- and long-form copy, including 6,000-word sales pages and VSL-style scripts.
• A portfolio illustrating copy that has successfully driven clicks, purchases, bookings, views, downloads, subscriptions, or other actions.
• Strong skills in customer insight research utilizing reviews, surveys, testimonials, comments, competitor pages, sales calls, and clinical studies.
• Experience in writing SEO, AEO, or GEO content.
• Knowledge of health industry compliance, claims, sourcing, and accuracy standards.
• Detail-oriented editing skills.
• Proficient in using AI tools for research, ideation, outlining, variations, and enhancing speed.
• Collaborative and open to feedback.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, revisions, research, and feedback.
• Genuine curiosity and empathy towards women's health customers.
• Solid foundation in direct response principles, excellent research abilities, clear writing style, emotional intelligence, and a desire for continuous improvement.
• E-commerce experience is preferred, with a background in supplements or women's health being advantageous.
• Qualities such as humility, ambition, and interpersonal intelligence are essential as per AlgaeCal's standards.
