Direct Origination – Equipment Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Cultivate relationships with borrowers and referral sources

• Recognize financing opportunities

• Manage transactions from the initial conversation to funding

• Collaborate directly with leadership and credit on transaction structures

• Actively source and finalize equipment finance loans and leases

• Establish a qualified pipeline through direct borrower and referral partnerships

• Evaluate the customer, equipment, sponsorship, transaction structure, risks, and repayment strategy

• Coordinate efforts with credit, underwriting, and documentation teams to facilitate transaction funding

• Build a sustainable portfolio of business

• Provide market insights as the company ventures into new sectors

⛳️ Requirements

• A proven track record of personally originating and concluding equipment finance transactions

• Relevant funded production with the ability to differentiate between business you generated and that which was assigned or referred to you internally

• Experience with non-investment-grade or other non-traditional credits

• Established relationships that can aid future direct origination

• Background in financing essential-use or mission-critical equipment

• A self-motivated, collaborative mindset and the ability to grow business without a pre-existing territory

• Capability to source and finalize equipment finance loans and leases

• Experience in sectors such as robotics, defense technology, physical AI, automation, advanced manufacturing, or other critical markets is relevant to this role
