This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the campaign calendar and production timelines across digital, SMS, and direct mail channels.
• Create and sustain cross-functional timelines in collaboration with internal teams, agency partners, and external vendors.
• Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to design campaign engagement journeys that encompass educational, advocacy, fundraising, and stewardship opportunities.
• Ensure creative, data, and production deliverables remain on schedule from concept to launch.
• Identify and proactively raise any risks to campaign timelines or delivery.
• Act as the main day-to-day liaison for agency partners and compile their feedback.
• Extract, segment, and manage audience lists for fundraising appeals, petitions, action alerts, newsletters, and event communications.
• Construct, test, assure quality, schedule, and launch targeted email campaigns.
• Assist in list growth, segmentation, and targeting strategies.
• Generate performance reports across digital and mail channels, tracking revenue, engagement, and expenditure against set goals.
• Evaluate campaign results, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
• Monitor A/B and multivariate test results and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Refine targeting, messaging, and channel strategy based on performance metrics.
• A bachelor's degree in communications or a related field is preferred.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 5 additional years of fundraising experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in direct response fundraising is required.
• Significant exposure to both digital and direct mail channels is necessary.
• Ability to manage intricate production timelines across multiple concurrent campaigns.
• Experience in coordinating both internal teams and external agency partners.
• Practical experience in building, testing, and deploying campaigns within an email marketing platform; Engaging Networks is preferred.
• Experience with donor or supporter CRM systems; Salesforce is preferred.
• Strong comprehension of segmentation, audience targeting, and lifecycle marketing for both donors and non-donor supporters.
• Proficiency in working with performance data and converting results into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated interest and experience in animal welfare issues.
• Commitment to the mission of the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
• Willingness to travel periodically for staff meetings and retreats, approximately 1–3 trips annually.
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
