This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Maintain an in-depth understanding of both state and federal laws and regulations pertinent to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws relevant to this role.
β’ Efficiently manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls related to loans while simultaneously overseeing loan applications.
β’ Actively engage in self-development to enhance problem-solving abilities and improve departmental performance.
β’ Cultivate a positive workplace by attentively listening to and addressing the needs of members and co-workers with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
β’ Analyze data, conduct research, gather documentation, and prepare loan documents with a focus on minimizing errors.
β’ Secure and validate necessary Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) documentation to accurately record the company's lien on loan collateral.
β’ Work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments to execute essential steps in the loan application process.
β’ Audit numerous operational documents, including executed loan agreements and reports, to ensure compliance with procedures, accuracy, and authenticity.
β’ Maintain a thorough understanding of Golden 1 lending policies and procedures to ensure adherence.
β’ Perform supportive tasks such as managing email correspondence, responding to TEAM chat inquiries, conducting audits for consumer loan fulfillment, and assisting with escalated calls and branch emails.
β’ Detect and address potential fraud, suspicious activities, and identity theft.
β’ Conduct member interviews, perform financial calculations and analyses on Proof of Income, and gather necessary information to meet loan conditions to assess eligibility for loan funding.
β’ Prepare loan documents for member signatures and organize approved loans for disbursement accordingly.
β’ Continuously enhance critical thinking skills and departmental efficiency.
β’ Monitor Outlook emails and TEAM chats effectively, collaborate in real-time, and respond promptly.
β’ Participate in video conferences and online meetings while adapting to a virtual office culture.
β’ Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to assist other employees and proactively follow up on member inquiries and concerns via Web Messaging or phone, ensuring proper grammar and a professional tone.
β’ Deliver exceptional customer service to Golden 1 members, dealerships, and external finance companies.
β’ Execute additional tasks as assigned.
β’ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
β’ Some college education is preferred.
β’ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced call center or high call volume work environment, with direct consumer contact and handling complex situations is required.
β’ Experience in consumer loan processing is a preferred plus.
