Dinka OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Sudan.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering strictly to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have a solid understanding of the specific vocabulary related to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver the highest quality of customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretation of messages.

• Implement standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Dinka."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
