Digital Transformation and Delivery Lead – Environmental Remediation Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the digital delivery initiatives for AECOM’s environmental remediation business in the US West region.

• Identify opportunities to enhance value through the implementation of new systems, upgrades to existing systems, and improved business processes.

• Outline necessary work, resources, timelines, and anticipated benefits, and present recommendations to the leadership team.

• Establish and refine the digital roadmap, prioritizing projects based on value, urgency, complexity, and available capacity.

• Ensure alignment of initiatives with corporate technology direction and standards, advocating for AI and other emerging technologies as needed.

• Lead the execution of digital initiatives across both new and ongoing projects.

• Engage in hands-on solution configuration and development using Smartsheet and Microsoft platforms.

• Supervise scope, timing, quality, projected benefits, and compliance with technology standards.

• Choose suitable technologies and platforms to meet business requirements.

• Evaluate delivery capabilities and recommend whether to utilize in-house, matrixed, or external resources.

• Coordinate and manage matrixed resources without direct line-management authority.

• Translate business requirements into technical guidance and communicate technical limitations and options in straightforward terms.

• Oversee the transfer of requirements, solution quality, QA/QC, scalability, usability, and overall alignment.

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), templates, and playbooks.

• Monitor and demonstrate outcomes and benefits achieved over time.

• Collaborate with the regional Digital Director of Operations on strategic planning, priorities, and progress tracking.

• Foster stakeholder alignment among leadership, project teams, technical resources, and end users.

• Manage leadership reporting, escalation, and communication regarding progress, risks, and value delivered.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS and 8 years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience and education, in digital delivery, digital transformation, or a related field.

• Successful completion of a background check is required.

• Preferred: 10+ years of experience in digital strategy or transformation and hands-on digital delivery.

• Capability to perform solution work directly and lead delivery efforts through others.

• Practical experience in configuring and managing Smartsheet, including Advanced Work Management (AWM).

• Experience in configuring Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.

• Familiarity with EQuIS, Smartsheet, and the Microsoft software suite.

• Ability to establish a digital roadmap and prioritize initiatives based on value, urgency, complexity, and capacity.

• Experience in developing business cases and tracking realized benefits and value.

• Skill in translating loosely defined needs into clear direction and effective solutions.

• Capacity to coordinate and manage matrixed resources while bridging business and technical teams.

• Knowledge of emerging capabilities such as AI and their benefits in regulated environments.

• Experience in environmental remediation, consulting, or management is desirable.
