This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage solution and portfolio architectures along with related artifacts throughout all stages of the TOGAF Architecture Development Method utilizing Cameo and ArchiMate.
• Engage in SAFe Agile Release Train teams in the role of Architect.
• Offer technical leadership and direction to agile development teams to achieve the desired architecture and adhere to standards.
• Facilitate technical and design discussions with business teams and executive stakeholders.
• Assist in managing the backlog, risks, opportunities, and focal areas.
• Mentor technical personnel toward becoming solution architects.
• Establish consistent architecture patterns and practices across various teams.
• Aid in application portfolio optimization and modernization via process and system transformations.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and cloud teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Direct application deployments and system migrations alongside functional, program, corporate service, and outsourced provider teams.
• Promote architecture and build influential relationships throughout Raytheon.
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and minimize delivery friction.
• Contribute to the architecture practice of Digital Technology with enterprise architects.
• Design reusable building blocks and reference architectures.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with at least 7 years of experience.
• Proven experience in leading and executing technology transformation projects.
• Background in architecting, designing, integrating, and deploying enterprise-level applications.
• Proficient in deploying and hosting applications using AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Capability to obtain and sustain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required from day one.
• Experience working as an Architect within agile frameworks, methodologies, and tools such as Scrum, SAFe, or Toyota Production System.
• Executive presence along with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Skills in time and resource management, planning, and project execution.
• Ability to think critically and exercise independent judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.
• Experience working with virtual and geographically dispersed teams.
• Ability to abstract and simplify complex systems and concepts.
• Preferred formal architecture certifications or degrees, such as Zachman, TOGAF, RTX Certified Architect, or Cloud Architect certifications.
• Technical proficiency across applications, data analytics, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• Experience in deploying and integrating large-scale software solutions in regulated and secure environments throughout all lifecycle phases.
