This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will serve as the primary client contact, responsible for conveying your vision for the digital program comprehensively, delivering results, and keeping the client informed about our progress.
• While you will receive consistent support due to the nature of these clients, the initiative and direction are yours to take.
• Collaborate with the digital advertising team on strategizing and executing extensive direct response marketing campaigns.
• Schedule and manage email and SMS initiatives aimed at mobilizing supporters, focusing on small-dollar, online fundraising efforts.
• You will primarily generate content, though you will have production assistance in this position.
• Develop fundraising forecasts for your clients and regularly report on progress towards goals.
• Oversee email deliverability and ensure adherence to proper list hygiene protocols.
• Provide support for additional client fundraising requirements as needed, which may include managing digital bundling or partner fundraising initiatives.
• Some responsibilities may include managing client stores and websites, working alongside external vendors or developers on these projects.
• In this role, you are expected to oversee 1-3 staff members. This includes responsibilities such as conducting performance reviews, providing ongoing feedback, and mentoring junior personnel in tasks you are already proficient in.
• You will contribute to managing the team and its processes in conjunction with other senior team members.
• You will maintain a standard of work that sets a benchmark for junior staff and seek innovative ways to enhance our client services.
• Potential involvement in business development may arise, particularly if it pertains to one of your clients.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends when necessary, especially during elections, fundraising deadlines, and significant client events.
• A minimum of four years of experience in digital fundraising, whether at a firm, within a campaign, or in an organization.
• Proven experience managing large-scale email and SMS programs, with familiarity in all aspects of the process, from scheduling and writing to production and result analysis.
• Previous staff management experience, even if not in a direct managerial role, is advantageous.
• Experience with ActionKit and/or NGP is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with broadcast or peer-to-peer texting programs, particularly for fundraising purposes.
• Background in leading large-scale direct response advertising initiatives involving significant expenditure.
• A proactive approach to maximizing spending when opportunities arise is essential.
• Proficiency in paid digital persuasion campaigns is a plus, though basic literacy is acceptable.
• Experience with social media campaign management is an advantage.
• Experience in overseeing integrations between digital and field efforts is also beneficial.
• Prior experience as a client lead, whether as an in-house digital director reporting to superiors on a campaign or within an organization or firm, is required.
