This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee intricate departmental technology and corporate projects from the planning stage to execution and support.
• Establish project specifications, budgets, business cases, and criteria for success.
• Manage resources, vendors, and cross-functional initiatives effectively.
• Ensure adherence to standards and architectural guidelines.
• Track schedules, budgets, risks, and project outcomes.
• Guide project teams and leaders on best practices in project management, performance enhancement, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Recruit, coordinate, and lead sizable technology and/or business project teams.
• Assess intricate systems and/or business processes along with their interdependencies.
• Analyze cutting-edge hardware and software solutions.
• Create and negotiate vendor agreements.
• Draft business plans, value propositions/charters, proposals, and long-term strategic initiatives/plans.
• Conduct high-level technology and/or management consulting tasks.
• Execute cost/benefit evaluations.
• Lead and oversee projects within a matrix organization.
• Inspire team members and manage multiple concurrent activities.
• Convey complex technical or sensitive subjects through detailed reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Align and translate organizational and departmental objectives into continuous work efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, along with at least three years of experience in project leadership/management; or
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a minimum of three years of project leadership/management experience; or
• Relevant professional certification or technology credential with a minimum of three years in project management.
• Proficiency in project planning and management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience in staffing, coordinating, and leading large technology and/or business project teams.
• Background in evaluating complex systems and/or business processes along with their interdependencies.
• Familiarity with assessing hardware and software products.
• Knowledge of total quality processes and quality problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience in developing and negotiating vendor contracts.
• Competence in crafting business plans, value propositions/charters, and proposals for long-term strategic initiatives/plans.
• Proven experience in high-level technology and/or management consulting activities.
• Proficient in conducting cost/benefit analyses.
• Strong presentation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills at the middle/senior management level.
• Capability to support and translate organizational and departmental objectives into ongoing work efforts.
• Ability to lead and manage projects in a matrix organization.
• Skill in motivating team members to achieve superior results.
• Capacity to oversee multiple concurrent activities.
• Proficiently communicate complex technical or sensitive topics clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
• Preferred technical expertise in mainframe, distributed systems, and/or web-based design, development, and implementation.
• Understanding of programming languages, operating systems, enterprise-wide technology planning, systems operational practices, system development methodologies, and structured systems development tools/products.
• Knowledge in user requirements development, testing, and systems analysis.
• Managerial experience in staffing both professional and administrative personnel and understanding personnel policies.
• Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial.
