This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the digital communication and design strategy for California WFP that is public-facing.

• Manage daily postings on California WFP's social media channels.

• Draft and schedule content for social media platforms.

• Coordinate posting priorities with California leadership and campaign personnel.

• Monitor activity across platforms and address or escalate issues as necessary.

• Ensure consistent branding and messaging throughout all platforms.

• Occasionally provide on-site coverage for WFP events and activations.

• Keep informed about trends and changes in algorithms.

• Create graphics for social media, organizing campaigns, endorsements, events, and rapid-response communications.

• Produce simple motion graphics and short-form video content as required.

• Prepare digital assets utilizing existing templates and branding guidelines.

• Assist in drafting digital communications, including email graphics and promotional materials.

• Collaborate with staff to support electoral and organizing priorities.

• Maintain an orderly library of digital assets.

• Generate rapid-response graphics and social media content during the election period.

• Provide communication support for endorsements, volunteer recruitment, voter engagement, and campaign events.

• Be available for occasional evening or weekend work as dictated by campaign activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must currently be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

• Applicants must reside in California.

• 3-5 years of experience is preferred.

• Proven experience managing organizational social media accounts with high visibility.

• Strong graphic design capabilities using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools.

• Ability to produce high-quality visual content under tight deadlines.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced political setting.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Experience within political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or nonprofit communications is preferred.

• Basic video editing experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and other social media management tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with EveryAction, VAN, or similar organizing tools is preferred.

• Some evening and weekend work should be anticipated during the election period.
