This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Create and develop a streamlined, user-friendly front-end platform that enables users to browse, search, and filter a collection of climate tech content.
• Design a backend database featuring a structured submission schema accessible by The New York Climate Exchange.
• Implement a submission portal equipped with form fields, file support (including large files like decks and videos), IP acknowledgment, and automated reviewer routing.
• Establish a lightweight review routing workflow for internal administrators to monitor submission status, assign reviewers and permissions, and manage the publication process.
• Introduce roles and permissions based on user type while ensuring platform privacy through secure login methods.
• Integrate a search feature (utilizing either tagging tools or AI assistance) to efficiently parse and navigate content.
• Provide recommendations for the platform's future development and maintenance, including preliminary cost estimates.
• Proven experience in building lightweight data platforms and web applications.
• Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with non-technical team members, explaining your decision-making process, workflow, and outputs.
• Demonstrated willingness to independently drive progress and iterate based on feedback.
• Capability to design and develop for future scalability and integration of AI, along with making recommendations for a long-term technical roadmap.
• Experience collaborating with universities and familiarity with early-stage technologies, climate tech, and startups is advantageous.
• Remote work opportunity, with the requirement to attend occasional weekday meetings in the ET time zone.
