This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +4 more states.
• Conduct Preventive & Corrective Maintenance – Schedule, implement, and document preventive maintenance as well as field change orders (FCOs) on digital scanners and associated hardware. – Identify root causes, perform repairs and/or replacements, and confirm system performance in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Installations & Configurations – Oversee comprehensive site setups: unpack, assemble, and calibrate instruments; configure networking, middleware, and integration with laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Swiftly respond to service calls on-site to reduce equipment downtime and uphold uptime SLAs. – Employ diagnostic tools and data-collection techniques to resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. – Work with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations. – Refer complex or recurring issues through established channels and procedures for prompt resolution.
• Documentation & Compliance – Keep precise service reports, work orders, and calibration records in our CRM and tracking systems. – Required to carry and monitor the company cell phone and respond during work and on-call hours, except during designated rest/meal periods as per applicable state law. – Efficiently manage company resources—tools, parts, and inventory. – Comply with documentation regulatory requirements and established industry quality standards.
• Customer Collaboration – Forge strong partnerships with laboratory personnel, pathologists, and clinical engineers through effective communication.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 2–3 years of field service or technical support experience in medical devices and laboratory automation.
• Proficiency with PC hardware, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN).
• Practical experience with robotic systems, laboratory instruments, and service documentation processes.
