Digital Learning Systems – Accessibility Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation, execution, governance, and ongoing enhancement of digital learning solutions that support extensive professional learning and technical assistance initiatives.

• Act as a subject matter expert and strategic consultant for eLearning development, learning management systems, digital accessibility, and adult education.

• Develop and refine standards, best practices, templates, frameworks, and quality assurance procedures for digital learning and learning technologies.

• Provide high-level consultation to project directors, project leaders, clients, instructional designers, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Conduct strategic design and quality assessments, project closeout evaluations, and reviews of accessibility and instructional quality.

• Direct the strategy, design, development, testing, rollout, maintenance, and enhancement of interactive digital learning products.

• Convert intricate technical information and client needs into engaging, scalable, evidence-based learning experiences.

• Manage multiple simultaneous initiatives, effectively balancing priorities, resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder demands.

• Oversee LMS administration, deployment of online learning environments, course configuration, learner tracking, reporting, SCORM/xAPI integrations, certificates, and digital credentials.

• Track system performance, learner analytics, emerging technologies, and user feedback.

• Ensure adherence to WCAG, Section 508, contractual obligations, and project goals.

• Lead efforts in data quality, learner data integrity, reporting, compliance, issue resolution, and process enhancements.

• Address complex technical challenges related to learning systems, digital delivery, accessibility, data integrity, and user experience.

• Mentor team members, lead cross-functional teams, and foster collaboration with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically possess 8–10+ years of progressively responsible experience in digital learning, instructional design, learning technologies, learning management systems, accessibility, professional learning, technical assistance, or related disciplines.

• Advanced proficiency in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining interactive digital learning solutions using Articulate Storyline, Canvas, or similar authoring tools.

• Extensive experience in administering and supporting learning management systems and associated learning technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of instructional design, adult learning theories, and digital accessibility standards, including WCAG and Section 508.

• Proven track record of leading complex digital learning projects, managing multiple concurrent initiatives, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

• Experience in providing consultation on digital learning technologies, instructional design, accessibility, and learning systems to aid project planning and execution.

• Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and project management abilities.

• Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check and education verification.
