This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee the management of SAP RISE managed infrastructure: Collaborate with business units, SAP ECS, and IT cross-functional teams to design and enhance the SAP portfolio of cloud-based software and services.
• Ensure the scalability, high availability, and performance of SAP systems are delivered as project outputs while planning for long-term operational support and sustainability.
• BASIS Administration: In alignment with SAP ECS Roles and Responsibilities, supervise and manage BASIS support activities, which include system provisioning, version/patch management, transport management, and performance monitoring.
• Manage transformation project deliverables in collaboration with the systems integrator while defining strategies for managing SAP applications in both private and public cloud environments.
• Establish metrics to monitor system health, facilitate problem resolution, and implement necessary security measures.
• Security and Compliance: Create and enforce SAP security policies, access controls, and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate with project System Integrators to develop user roles, authorization, and user access/provisioning processes that align with best practices and security policies.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk evaluations.
• Work alongside compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Solution Architecture: Engage closely with business stakeholders to comprehend requirements and translate them into SAP architectural solutions.
• Design comprehensive solutions that align with business objectives, taking into account scalability, maintainability, and security.
• Evaluate and recommend SAP modules, components, and integration patterns.
• Technical Leadership: Offer technical guidance to project teams, developers, and administrators.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
• Keep abreast of SAP trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, and project managers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting architectural proposals and justifications clearly.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) is preferred.
• Proven experience as an SAP Architect, BASIS Administrator, or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of SAP landscapes, modules, and integration.
• Experience with S/4 HANA in an SAP RISE Managed Infrastructure, with at least 10 years of experience managing SAP landscapes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong technical knowledge of SAP security concepts and role-based authorization.
• Proficient in SAP GRC-related tools and processes to support IT controls and access management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to tackle complex technical issues.
