Digital Consulting Manager – Oracle Cloud, Higher Education Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Lead the design of the Chart of Accounts and oversee comprehensive accounting processes in cloud-based ERP Financials and EPM implementations.

• Assess the utilization of Oracle Cloud ERP by institutions and pinpoint enhancements for financial management and reporting.

• Collaborate with finance leaders and stakeholders to convert accounting, budgeting, and financial management needs into future-state ERP designs.

• Offer functional expertise across the financial operations of institutions.

• Work alongside teams involved in integration, conversion, reporting, finance, grants, payroll, and student or affiliate systems.

• Assist in pre-sales and business development initiatives.

• Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner.

• Contribute to the creation of standards, templates, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• 5–7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or ERP implementations specifically for higher education and/or public sector organizations.

• Proven experience with FASB and/or GASB accounting standards, fund accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with Oracle Financials Cloud or another ERP financial system (e.g., Workday, SAP, Unit4, PeopleSoft).

• Strong functional knowledge of higher education or related business domains.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Enthusiasm for mentoring and aiding in the development of consulting staff.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
