This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish the current imaging position of the patient as of the relevant study date.
• Compare findings with clinically appropriate prior examinations.
• Review multi-series and multi-timepoint imaging studies for thoroughness and consistency.
• Assess when findings necessitate additional imaging, critical-results communication, subspecialty review, or routine sign-off.
• Differentiate confirmed imaging conclusions from assumptions carried over during partial or handed-off workflows.
• Examine saved measurements, annotations, and key-image selections.
• Evaluate quantitative imaging workflows, including RECIST/PERCIST tracking when applicable.
• Interpret SUV values and relevant calibration dependencies.
• Review vessel, volume, fusion, and registration measurements for accuracy and reproducibility.
• Work with patient, study, series, and instance hierarchies and interpret imaging identifiers.
• Assess interpretation and communication histories and evaluate preliminary, partial, and transferred imaging records.
• Set or interpret follow-up recommendations, recall dates, and relevant workflow flags.
• Review worklist construction, filters, and study-status transitions across various states including scheduled, arrived, read-in-progress, dictated, preliminary, final, and addended.
• Evaluate study claiming, release processes, shift handoffs, inherited mid-read studies, missing priors, and prior-fetching or reconciliation steps.
• Utilize Visage 7 hanging protocols, display protocols, window/level presets, procedure-code mappings, and protocol mappings.
• Apply DICOM tag-level knowledge to identify mis-hung, mislabelled, or misrouted studies.
• Review cross-system references involving RIS/EHR orders, dictation systems, or AI-result overlays.
• Adhere to organisational imaging, protocol, dose, and reporting standards.
• Determine if studies are complete and clinically interpretable.
• Review critical-findings communication requirements where applicable.
• Follow relevant standards such as MQSA, ACR accreditation, dose-registry requirements, and patient-release rules within professional scope.
• Clearly document findings, measurements, key images, and unresolved items.
• Verify the persistence of annotations, presentation states, and key-image selections.
• Review peer-review, discrepancy, and amendment workflows.
• Assess audit trails and access logging where relevant.
• Confirm that recorded outcomes are reproducible and traceable.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in diagnostic radiology, medical imaging, imaging operations, imaging technology, PACS, or imaging informatics.
• Current or recent hands-on experience with Visage 7 at least weekly.
• Strong familiarity with study-status transitions, prior comparisons, and preliminary versus final reporting workflows.
• Experience in reviewing multi-series and multi-timepoint imaging studies.
• Practical understanding of PACS worklists, annotations, presentation states, and study lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with DICOM structures, imaging identifiers, and clinical system integrations.
• Strong understanding of imaging workflow handoffs, auditability, and record completeness.
• One of the following qualifications: MD/DO with radiology residency or fellowship training; ARRT, RDMS, NMTCB, or equivalent technologist credential with hands-on advanced visualisation experience; or a Bachelor's degree in health informatics, medical imaging, computer science, or a related field, along with CIIP, PARCA, or equivalent hands-on PACS administration experience.
• Excellent written English skills with the ability to document technical and clinical reasoning accurately.
• Regular and recent experience with Visage 7 is required.
• Work must be conducted without the use of confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, healthcare organisation, institution, or other third parties.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this engagement.
