DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Work closely with infrastructure and engineering teams to enhance DevSecOps practices.

• Contribute to the security and reliability of cloud-based applications hosted on AWS.

• Assist in the evolution and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines with a strong emphasis on security and automation.

• Support initiatives related to code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and secure development practices.

• Identify security risks associated with infrastructure and applications and aid in developing mitigation strategies.

• Address application security issues across cloud infrastructure and internal platforms.

• Enhance security visibility, operational processes, and engineering workflows.

• Contribute to efforts in preventing and mitigating malicious traffic and automated attack attempts.

• Advocate for security best practices among development and infrastructure teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundational understanding of DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Experience working with AWS and CI/CD environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of application security concepts and best practices.

• Familiarity with areas such as cloud infrastructure security, firewall and network security concepts, code analysis and scanning, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.

• A pragmatic and well-rounded engineering approach.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Demonstrated ownership, proactivity, and autonomy.

• Proficiency in both English and Portuguese.
