DevSecOps – Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts aimed at optimizing security processes and workflows.

• Set up and oversee AWS resources utilizing Terraform to ensure a secure and scalable infrastructure.

• Develop and deploy innovative security measures to minimize the time needed for detection and response.

• Optimize and implement AWS Step Functions and Lambda for serverless automation workflows.

• Utilize AWS security-focused services (such as IAM, Control Tower, KMS, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, EventBridge) to bolster cloud security.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to embed security automation into CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure to guarantee high availability, performance, and compliance.

• Keep abreast of AWS best practices, security trends, and new technologies to promote continuous enhancements.

• Provide hands-on support across a diverse array of security technologies, including but not limited to: Pipeline security, DevSecOps, CloudFormation templates, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, SIEM, CSPM, and Vulnerability Scanners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Python, Go, or similar development, with a focus on automation.

• More than 3 years of practical experience with AWS technologies, especially security-centric services (IAM, KMS, Control Tower, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, EventBridge, etc.).

• Expertise in writing and developing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

• Familiarity with AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda for serverless architecture.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
