DevSecOps Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain an automation framework and scripts to enhance security processes and workflows.

• Deploy and manage AWS resources with Terraform to ensure a secure and scalable infrastructure.

• Implement cutting-edge security solutions to minimize the mean time to detect and respond.

• Optimize and implement AWS Step Functions and Lambda for serverless automation workflows.

• Utilize AWS security-centric services (e.g., IAM, Control Tower, KMS, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, EventBridge) to strengthen cloud security.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security automation within CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance.

• Stay informed on AWS best practices, security trends, and emerging technologies to foster continuous improvement.

• Must be capable of providing hands-on support for a variety of security technologies, including but not limited to: Pipeline security, DevSecOps, CloudFormation templates, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, SIEM, CSPM, and Vulnerability Scanners.

• Work autonomously with minimal supervision while offering guidance and collaborating with the team as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 3+ years of professional experience in Python, Go, or equivalent development with a focus on automation.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS technologies, especially security-centric services (IAM, KMS, Control Tower, Macie, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, EventBridge, etc.).

• Expertise in writing and developing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

• Familiarity with AWS Step Functions and AWS Lambda for serverless architectures.

• Experience with SIEM, IPS, and Vulnerability Scanners.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH ARE ESSENTIAL (Evaluation will be conducted).
