DevOps/Platform Engineer, AWS, CDK

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Implement migration strategies for subsidiary services while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Upgrade infrastructure by containerizing services and deploying them on Kubernetes.

• Oversee cloud databases by transitioning PostgreSQL instances to AWS RDS.

• Ensure operational excellence by assisting DevOps in current production environments during the transition phase.

• Influence technical decisions by adhering to platform principles and guiding colleagues.

• Enable product teams to maximize the benefits of self-service cloud solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its APIs, particularly CDK, Lambda, RDS, ALB, and EC2.

• Significant experience with Docker, networking, and Linux servers.

• Proficient in both creating and utilizing REST APIs effectively.

• A product-oriented mindset with the capability to simplify intricate systems.

• Ability to advocate for and articulate technical decisions to both engineers and management.

• A readiness to mentor and share expertise with colleagues.

• Practical experience in TypeScript with Node.js.

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Go, Python, Java, Spring Boot, Tomcat, .NET, or PHP is an advantage.

• Experience with PostGIS is a bonus.

• Ability to read Vue.js code can be beneficial for certain projects.

• Understanding of SOAP is helpful for migrating some legacy services.
