DevOps Lead L2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the DevOps team and oversee operations, development, and testing through automation and optimized integration and deployment processes.

• Drive technical solution support for continuous integration and continuous deployment initiatives.

• Design and establish DevOps architecture and frameworks for project or module delivery in line with client specifications.

• Select appropriate DevOps tools and platforms that align with customer needs.

• Create deployment models for tools that facilitate validation, testing, and performance monitoring, while provisioning resources as needed.

• Define and manage the IT infrastructure necessary for the supported software code.

• Oversee the DevOps pipeline encompassing planning, coding, building, testing, staging, release, configuration, and monitoring.

• Collaborate on coding and scripting to integrate application code with operating systems and production infrastructure.

• Onboard application configuration from the planning stage through to release.

• Embed security practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle to ensure cybersecurity and data privacy.

• Provide customer support for DevOps tools and manage internal and external escalations.

• Troubleshoot implementation challenges involving DevOps tools.

• Conduct root cause analysis for significant incidents and critical issues.

• Develop alternative strategies based on root cause findings.

• Adhere to escalation processes for complex or unresolved issues.

• Share knowledge, promote best practices, and inspire the team.

• Anticipate talent needs and recruit suitable team members.

• Train direct reports on recruitment and selection processes.

• Ensure compliance with Wipro's onboarding and training standards.

• Cultivate an internal talent pool and facilitate career advancement.

• Advocate for diversity in leadership roles.

• Set objectives, conduct performance reviews and evaluations, and deliver constructive feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in managing production AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) clusters.

• Familiarity with Azure CNI, HPA/VPA, Ingress Controllers (Nginx/AGIC), and Node Pool lifecycle management.

• Ability to troubleshoot "Pod Pending" and "ImagePullBackOff" states within secured enterprise networks.

• Experience with Flux CD and automated reconciliation processes.

• Proficient in authoring and troubleshooting Helm charts.

• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace.

• Background in establishing Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Management Zones, and utilizing Davis AI for root cause analysis.

• Advanced skills in Terraform, including managing Terraform State, importing manual resources into code, and developing reusable modules.

• Competency in Azure AKS administration.

• Experience with Manual-to-IaC migrations.

• Ability to create complex Azure Terraform modules from scratch.

• Candidates should not primarily focus on EKS/AWS with only basic Azure knowledge.

• Candidates must exhibit practical knowledge rather than just theoretical or textbook responses.
