DevOps Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova.

📋 Description

• CI/CD & Pipeline Management: Create, implement, and enhance robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, secure, and automated deployments across various environments.

• Infrastructure Leadership: Establish and direct the strategy, architecture, and scalability planning for infrastructure.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with clients and stakeholders to gather infrastructure requirements, offer technical guidance, and ensure alignment with delivery objectives.

• Monitoring & Observability: Set up and manage comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure operational visibility and effective incident response.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and oversee scalable, secure systems on AWS and GCP, adhering to best practices and strategies for cost optimization.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to align infrastructure with changing product requirements.

• Security & Compliance: Develop, enforce, and audit infrastructure security policies while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Operational Ownership: Manage the reliability, cost-effectiveness, and uptime of both cloud and on-premises systems.

• Team Development & Hiring: Recruit, mentor, and expand the infrastructure team. Clearly define team responsibilities and delegate tasks effectively to achieve objectives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 10 years of overall working experience in relevant technology roles.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership position within DevOps or infrastructure.

• Extensive practical experience in architecting and managing infrastructure on AWS.

• Experience with GCP is considered an advantage.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and contemporary infrastructure practices.

• Proficient in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) and containerization technologies (Docker).

• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm in production settings.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Solid knowledge of APIs, microservices, and system integration.

• Programming experience in at least one language (e.g., Python).

• Proven ability to define and enforce security policies and controls.

• Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, NewRelic).

• Established leadership experience, including team management and recruitment.

• Exceptional communication skills; capable of collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Fluent in English.
