DevOps Engineer, SRE, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of GCP environments.

• Apply SRE and DevOps best practices with a strong emphasis on automation and scalability.

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GCP-native tools.

• Spearhead observability projects using Grafana, Prometheus, and Stackdriver.

• Diagnose production incidents and implement root-cause solutions.

• Employ Infrastructure as Code methodologies (Terraform, Deployment Manager).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold platform stability.

• Advocate for a proactive, blameless culture in incident management.

• Propel continuous improvement through the adoption of emerging cloud and automation technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles.

• Strong practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and infrastructure.

• Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient in UNIX/Linux administration.

• Competent in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (or similar GCP IaC tools).

• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell.

• Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Stackdriver).
