This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.
• Primarily engage with on-premise infrastructure (bare metal and virtual machines): setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Bring clarity to ambiguous situations by outlining requirements, assumptions, and subsequent steps.
• Manage automation projects from start to finish (design → implementation → maintenance).
• Enhance operational practices: strengthen and optimize systems while improving team workflows regarding operational hygiene.
• Ensure the platform remains stable, fast, and secure: including servers, web servers, databases, and queues.
• Analyze production incidents across OS, networking, and infrastructure layers, implement temporary solutions, collaborate with developers, and take part in post-mortem reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Leverage AI in all daily tasks: including research, troubleshooting, and development.
• Over 4 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (or closely related roles).
• Practical, hands-on experience with servers (virtual machines, bare metal) at the operating system level and below: configuring, troubleshooting, and investigating issues.
• Proficient Linux skills (we utilize Ubuntu). Comfort with the essential tools from the Linux Crisis Tools suite is expected.
• Strong understanding of fundamental networking concepts; capability to configure and troubleshoot iptables.
• Familiarity with Ansible and Git.
• Experience in Bash or Python scripting for automation and observability tasks.
• Background in production and on-call roles: diagnosing incidents, restoring services, and participating in post-mortem evaluations.
• Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. Downtime can be costly: five years ago, 10 minutes of downtime resulted in a $100k loss — today, it's likely even more significant.
• 31 days of paid time off.
• Fully covered telemedicine plan.
• Assistance with Home Office Setup: the company provides support for purchasing furniture (office chair, desk, monitor) and other items for a comfortable workspace.
• English language courses.
• Opportunities for relevant professional education.
• Access to a gym or swimming pool.
• Co-working space availability.
• Option for remote work.
