DevOps Engineer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The DevOps Engineer III acts as an emerging individual contributor within a team, enhancing your leadership, guidance, and mentoring abilities.

• You will be tasked with achieving the objectives of scope, schedule, and delivery requirements.

• Your role will involve engaging with stakeholders and employing your influential skills to foster improvements in DevOps processes and methodologies.

• You will demonstrate influential skills to collaborate effectively across teams to streamline and simplify DevOps tools and services.

• You will showcase your problem-solving abilities to promote simplicity in architecture and operations.

• You will be capable of executing cloud infrastructure and automated deployment tasks under the direction of a senior engineer.

• You will create libraries, modules, and packages for other infrastructure engineers to utilize in their projects.

• You will construct cloud infrastructure that supports applications and enhances the overall developer experience for engineers.

• You will contribute to CI/CD processes to deliver software of superior quality at an accelerated pace.

• You will integrate tools to meet non-functional requirements such as quality benchmarks, security vulnerabilities, and static analysis.

• You will design specific application test and deployment pipelines using automated tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, Circle CI, and Gitlab CI.

• You will gain progressive experience collaborating with our government partners and application teams to ensure the delivery of software that complies with security, SLA, and performance standards.

• You will assist in recruiting efforts by assessing homework assignments and potentially participating in interviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience.

• Relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Proficient in at least one infrastructure-as-code tool (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

• Familiarity with key DevOps principles: software installation, virtualization, containerization, networking, etc.
