DevOps Engineer – Platform Engineering, Grid Asset System

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Creating, developing, and documenting a cloud-native, Kubernetes-oriented engineering platform.

• Modifying and personalizing standardized engineering services throughout the code, build, deploy, and run phases.

• Implementing Infrastructure-as-Code to ensure reproducible, versioned environments and service provisioning, facilitating developer self-service.

• Integrating centrally managed platform services such as Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and observability tools.

• Designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines while establishing SDLC standards that align with best practices and security protocols.

• Promoting trunk-based development, automated testing, as well as best practices for build and release processes.

• Evaluating existing systems and formulating migration strategies for applications and development teams transitioning to EDP.

• Offering technical consultancy on integration into the multi-tier platform architecture (EDP, GrASP, MCCS).

• Enabling development teams to utilize the platform independently over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a DevOps and/or Platform Engineer.

• More than 5 years of experience as a Principal Platform Engineer and/or SRE.

• Exceptional knowledge in establishing and migrating engineering platforms for large development teams (20+ teams, 100+ developers).

• Strong expertise and experience in Developer Experience.

• Profound knowledge of build and deployment tools in Azure and on-premises environments.

• Extensive proficiency in GitOps deployments and strategies, including ArgoCD and Helm.

• In-depth understanding of cloud-native secure SDLCs.

• Comprehensive knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and OpenTelemetry.

• Fluent in English (C1 level minimum).
