DevOps Engineer IV, Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Deploy, oversee, and manage web services within public cloud environments.

• Create and implement solutions that ensure secure, highly available, performant, and scalable services in elastic settings.

• Take ownership of all operational aspects related to web services, including automation, monitoring, alerting, reliability, and performance.

• Develop innovative solutions to operational challenges that have a direct impact on business.

• Facilitate resolution and communication during incidents that affect production.

• Lead technical projects and ensure that deliverables meet project standards.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and business teams across various continents.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• More than 8 years of professional experience in DevOps and Infrastructure management, with at least 5 years focused on AWS.

• Solid grounding in operating systems, networking, distributed systems, and system architecture.

• Proven experience in leading critical DevOps projects.

• Practical knowledge of AWS services, orchestration tools (ECS, EKS), and infrastructure management.

• Strong understanding of observability concepts, including logs, metrics, and tracing.

• Familiarity with SaaS observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, NewRelic, Honeycomb, Dynatrace) and the development of in-house solutions (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana stack).

• Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Bash).

• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Broad experience with cloud-hosted applications, virtualization platforms, both relational and non-relational databases, reverse proxies, and orchestration platforms.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Demonstrated curiosity, a commitment to continuous learning, and a passion for elevating the technical standard.
