This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of large-scale production systems by monitoring dashboards, assessing alerts, and addressing incidents as they occur.
• Act as the primary on-call and incident response coordinator for issues affecting customers, managing triage, resolution efforts, and leading post-incident reviews.
• Design, develop, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Octopus Deploy.
• Automate Azure infrastructure and services (Web Apps, Functions, SQL, Storage, Key Vaults, Entra ID) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and security teams to facilitate deployments, migrations, and compliance efforts.
• Lead initiatives for optimizing cloud costs, enhancing scalability, and implementing auto-scaling across hosted environments.
• Modernize incident management tools and uphold security best practices and standards for system hardening.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or a degree in an unrelated area accompanied by at least 7 years of professional experience. A relevant Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering, with substantial hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure production environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy).
• Proven capability in leading cloud migrations, automating infrastructure, and executing incident responses at scale.
• Familiarity with Azure services including Web Apps, Functions, SQL, Storage, Key Vaults, and Entra ID.
• Proven ability to independently conceptualize and execute complex technical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, system hardening techniques, and compliance standards.
• Excellent collaboration abilities — adept at partnering with engineering, product, and security teams.
• Exceptional scripting and automation skills — committed to the principle that automation should be applied wherever possible.
• Experience leading the transition to Infrastructure as Code and advocating for its adoption, utilizing tools such as Terraform or ARM/Bicep templates.
• Experience working with application development teams in an iterative development environment using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
• Solid grasp of Azure billing and cost modeling.
