Infrastructure / Systems Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Manage and sustain our Linux, AWS, and blockchain-node infrastructure on a daily basis.

• Take ownership of routine administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of services and networking.

• Engage in our infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform, gradually increasing your ownership.

• Assist with blockchain node operations throughout our ecosystem.

• Automate repetitive tasks and diagnostics through scripting.

• Ensure our systems are secure, up-to-date, and functioning efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must-Haves: Proficiency in Linux administration, including CLI fluency, systemd, package management, log analysis, and troubleshooting of services and networking.

• Experience with shell scripting (Bash) for automation and diagnostics.

• Familiarity with essential AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and load balancers (ELB/ALB).

• Working knowledge of Terraform: you have created and implemented configurations and understand state and the plan/apply cycle.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, firewalls, and security groups.

• Proficient with Git: comfortable with the daily branch/commit/PR workflow.

• Strong credentials and access management: adept at SSH key handling, least-privilege IAM, safeguarding secrets out of code and repositories, and ensuring systems are patched.

• Cool-to-Haves: Advanced knowledge of Terraform, including modules, remote state, and multi-environment setups.

• Experience with blockchain nodes, particularly with Cosmos or other chains.

• Familiarity with Docker; exposure to Kubernetes is a bonus.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.

• Proficiency in Python for tooling beyond Bash.

• Exposure to CI/CD practices.
