DevOps Engineer – HostPilot, Control Panel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Octopus Deploy.

• Deploy and provide support for applications across development, testing, and production environments.

• Automate infrastructure and configuration management using Ansible.

• Provide support for both Windows (IIS/ARR) and Linux environments.

• Assist in the operation of applications hosted on Kubernetes and modern cloud-native services.

• Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, and enhance platform reliability.

• Resolve deployment, infrastructure, and application-related issues.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure reliable production releases.

• Contribute to the operational documentation and deployment runbooks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Administration.

• Proficient in managing both Windows and Linux environments.

• Strong expertise in Ansible.

• Experience in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with supporting web applications in a production setting.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), and TLS.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.

• Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.

• Excellent communication skills and confidence in collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Professional working proficiency in English (B2 or above).

• **Nice to Have:**

• Experience with Azure.

• Familiarity with Octopus Deploy.

• Knowledge of RabbitMQ.

• Experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.

• Understanding of NGINX and reverse proxy configuration.

• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.

• Knowledge of production incident management.

• Familiarity with secrets management.

• Experience migrating legacy applications to containers.

• Understanding of .NET application deployments.
