This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, and various stakeholders to grasp the requirements and objectives of projects.
• Partner on the design, implementation, and upkeep of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Produce and sustain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
• Design, implement, and oversee automation processes for software building, deployment, and configuration.
• Assess, choose, and deploy tools and technologies to improve the efficiency of development and deployment processes.
• Manage and sustain GCP infrastructure to guarantee scalability, reliability, and security.
• Apply infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies using tools such as Terraform, Deployment Manager, and others.
• Establish and uphold CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, encompassing build, test, and deployment stages.
• Create and execute monitoring solutions using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging to ensure the health and performance of systems and applications.
• Actively identify and resolve issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Enforce and maintain security best practices in infrastructure and application deployment, including IAM, Security Command Center, and VPC Service Controls.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company security policies.
• Offer support to development and operations teams, addressing issues related to build failures, deployment challenges, and system outages.
• Take part in on-call rotation to respond to and resolve critical incidents.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Operations Suite.
• Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Strong expertise in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Comprehensive understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Solid grasp of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Certification (Current or Expired) in at least one of the following: GCP Cloud Engineer Associate, GCP Cloud Architect Professional, GCP Cloud Developer Professional, GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional, GCP Cloud Security Engineer Professional, GCP Cloud Network Engineer Professional.
