This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to gain an understanding of project requirements and objectives.
• Work together on the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Develop and sustain thorough documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
• Design, implement, and oversee automation processes for software builds, deployments, and configurations.
• Assess, choose, and integrate tools and technologies to improve the efficiency of development and deployment workflows.
• Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure to guarantee scalability, reliability, and security.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, and others.
• Set up and uphold CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, encompassing build, test, and deployment phases.
• Create and execute monitoring solutions using Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging to ensure the health and performance of systems and applications.
• Actively identify and resolve issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Apply and uphold security best practices in infrastructure and application deployment, including IAM, Security Command Center, and VPC Service Controls.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company security policies.
• Offer support to development and operations teams by addressing issues related to build failures, deployment challenges, and system outages.
• Engage in on-call rotation to respond to and resolve critical incidents.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Operations Suite.
• Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar capacity.
• High proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Extensive knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with hands-on experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Solid comprehension of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Certified (current or expired) in at least one of the following: GCP Cloud Engineer Associate, GCP Cloud Architect Professional, GCP Cloud Developer Professional, GCP Cloud DevOps Engineer Professional, GCP Cloud Security Engineer Professional, GCP Cloud Network Engineer Professional.
