DevOps Engineer, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Ensure the reliability, uptime, and performance of GCP environments.

• Apply SRE and DevOps best practices with an emphasis on automation and scalability.

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing GCP-native tools.

• Lead initiatives focused on observability using Grafana, Prometheus, and Stackdriver.

• Diagnose production incidents and provide root-cause solutions.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Deployment Manager.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold platform stability.

• Promote a proactive and blameless culture in incident management.

• Foster continuous improvement through the adoption of emerging cloud and automation technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Site Reliability, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering roles.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and infrastructure.

• Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong skills in UNIX/Linux administration.

• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (or equivalent GCP IaC tools).

• Proficient in scripting with Python, Bash, or Shell.

• Thorough understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Stackdriver).
