DevOps Engineer, GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tunisia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, encompassing Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and networking services.

• Create and sustain Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform.

• Construct and enhance CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build and additional automation tools.

• Apply containerization techniques using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve performance issues related to infrastructure and applications.

• Set up and uphold logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.

• Work collaboratively with development teams to refine deployment strategies and optimize cloud resource usage.

• Enforce security best practices and compliance standards throughout cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and operational runbooks.

• Take part in on-call rotations for incident response and resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or systems administration roles.

• Advanced expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Background in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

• Comprehensive understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and command-line tools.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions, including Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Proficient with version control systems, especially Git.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

• Preferred: Experience in multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud architectures.

• Preferred: Understanding of DevOps methodologies and agile practices.

• Preferred: Relevant cloud certifications, such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer.
