DevOps Engineer – AWS/GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Spearhead DevOps initiatives for a significant legacy system currently operational, which has limited documentation. Strong skills in discovery, assessment, and documentation are crucial.

• Propel the three key components of the modernization initiative:

• **Modernization of the platform to serverless architectures**

• **Standardization of security and management of vulnerabilities**

• **Standardization of monitoring across various environments**

• Work collaboratively with Moody’s engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment across teams and facilitate a seamless transition.

• Diagnose and independently resolve technical challenges that arise during the modernization and migration processes.

• Design, architect, and enhance deployment pipelines along with automation systems.

• Assist in defining standards, processes, and best practices for DevOps and cloud modernization.

⛳️ Requirements

• **4–8 years of professional experience** in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, or related domains.

• Residing in **AMER time zones** or possessing strong availability overlap.

• **English: Advanced/Fluent** (mandatory).

• Capability to operate with minimal supervision, lead initiatives, mentor team members, and offer technical guidance.

• Strong analytical skills, ownership mentality, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

• **Technical Skills**

• **AWS & GCP**: Extensive experience in deploying, configuring, and managing cloud environments.

• **Kubernetes**: Experience in container orchestration and production cluster management.

• **Docker**: Proficient in image creation, optimization, and CI/CD integration.

• **Terraform**: Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud resource provisioning and management.

• **Python**: Proficient in reading, understanding, and working with build scripts.

• **MySQL**: Strong understanding of database operations from an infrastructure viewpoint.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging pipelines, and vulnerability management workflows.
