DevOps Engineer, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to grasp project requirements and objectives.

• Partner in the design, implementation, and upkeep of continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

• Develop and sustain thorough documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.

• Design, execute, and oversee automation processes for software build, deployment, and configuration.

• Assess, select, and apply tools and technologies that improve the efficiency of development and deployment processes.

• Manage and uphold AWS cloud infrastructure to guarantee scalability, reliability, and security.

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and others.

• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, including build, test, and deployment phases.

• Create and implement monitoring solutions utilizing CloudWatch and other AWS monitoring tools to ensure system and application health and performance.

• Proactively recognize and resolve issues related to system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Enforce and maintain security best practices in infrastructure and application deployment, including IAM, security groups, and VPC configurations.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company security policies.

• Provide support to development and operations teams, addressing concerns related to build failures, deployment issues, and system outages.

• Take part in on-call rotation to respond to and resolve critical incidents.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.

• Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar capacity.

• Strong command of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.

• Experience with configuration management tools including Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.

• Comprehensive knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Practical experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

• Solid grasp of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

• Certified (Current or Expired) in at least one of the following: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Developer Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional.
