Devops Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Participating in long-term projects, including but not limited to: Enabling on-premises deployment of space algorithms utilizing Kubernetes.

• Continuously enhancing the developer experience for your colleagues (both software and space).

• Collaborating with space engineers and fellow software engineers to create algorithms as services.

• Designing and developing essential algorithms and infrastructure, progressing from initial prototypes to final deployment.

• Improving and expanding the observability of our systems.

• Reviewing pull requests and design documents, contributing to code through business-driven implementations and bug fixes, while minimizing technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience.

• Extensive background in software architecture and senior engineering positions.

• Experience in launching products within a start-up setting, facilitating quick iterations while upholding a stable and secure platform.

• Strong judgment in evaluating trade-offs among scalability, maintainability, and speed.

• Demonstrated ability to enhance and optimize technical workflows and team practices.

• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and infrastructure-as-code.

• Experience collaborating closely with product and business teams in a B2B environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge.

• Proficiency in English, with both spoken and written fluency being essential.

• Experience with on-premise or hybrid service deployments and their orchestration using Kubernetes.
