DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee cloud infrastructure predominantly on GCP or comparable platforms.

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications within Kubernetes environments (GKE or similar).

• Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure utilizing tools like Ansible or equivalent.

• Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and automated deployments.

• Ensure that cloud-based systems maintain high availability, scalability, and security.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide support for production environments.

• Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance deployment processes and system reliability.

• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana).

• Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Uphold and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.

• Strong practical experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred or similar).

• Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).

• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible or similar).

• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar).

• Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls).

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or similar).

• Exposure to microservices architecture.

• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.

• GCP certifications (Associate/Professional) are advantageous.
