DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• In the role of DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) within the DevEx team, you will play a key role in enhancing our Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

• Your objective is to improve the efficiency of our developers’ daily tasks by implementing automated processes and streamlined workflows.

• You will assist in the rollout of new features and gain insights into effectively alleviating friction points in software delivery.

• Your contributions will include developing self-service options within our Internal Developer Platform and constructing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.

• Collaborating with your team, you will empower development teams to take ownership of their services — from code submission to operation within the cluster.

• Additionally, you will automate application deployments using Helm.

• You will explore cloud-native development best practices and apply them in real projects under professional guidance.

• Your role will also involve contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the tools utilized throughout the developer journey and providing support for technical inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have completed technical vocational training, possess a degree in computer science, or have gained initial hands-on experience in a DevOps setting or software development.

• You bring experience with tools such as GitLab CI, Docker, or Kubernetes and are keen to expand your knowledge of ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform / OpenTofu.

• A strong desire to learn and the motivation to engage with complex cloud infrastructures are essential.

• You thrive in a team environment, are service-oriented, and enjoy simplifying processes through automation.

• Ideally, you have a strong interest in cloud technologies and wish to evolve into an expert in this area.

• To facilitate effective communication within the team, you possess very good German skills (C1) and good English skills (B2).
