DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Gather application information, comprehend repository architectures, and assess CI/CD utilization to verify Monorepo eligibility.

• Oversee technical prerequisites, manage repository access, and facilitate onboarding sessions with application teams.

• Advise teams on standard Monorepo CI/CD practices, set up pipeline variables, and resolve common issues using approved runbooks.

• Assist with the initial CI pipeline execution and deployment verification, tracking defects and ensuring onboarding criteria are satisfied.

• Update onboarding FAQs, draft troubleshooting documentation, and contribute to the enhancement of runbooks and lessons learned.

• Manage Monorepo-related tickets, addressing known issues and preparing comprehensive escalation packages for the Software Factory team when intricate blockers occur.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related fields.

• Proven hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies, particularly in GitLab environments and Monorepo frameworks.

• Proficient in pipeline automation, variable configuration, and troubleshooting deployment strategies.

• A strong affinity for utilizing runbooks and standard checklists to ensure consistent, high-quality results.

• Capable of clearly articulating technical prerequisites and onboarding procedures to various application teams.

• Proficient in triaging incidents and discerning when to resolve issues versus escalating complex platform-level challenges.
