DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Develop testnets, devnets, tools, and monitoring systems to assist developers in identifying issues and validating software deployments under various network conditions.

• Ensure the maintenance of high-performance production instances of our software, which necessitate regular upkeep, monitoring, and adherence to stringent security practices and protocols.

• Manage daily operations as a member of the DevOps team.

• Support developers in constructing the fundamental decentralized network infrastructure.

• Collaborate with a 24/7 DevOps team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.

• Proficient in Kubernetes architecture (e.g., pods, deployments, services, and stateful sets).

• Familiar with Kubernetes networking concepts (e.g., service discovery, ingress, overlay networks).

• Skilled in utilizing CI/CD pipelines to deploy containerized applications within Kubernetes.

• Capable of performing Kubernetes administration tasks (e.g., scaling, rolling updates, rollbacks).

• Experience in blockchain technology.

• Proficient with blockchain data structures (e.g., blocks, forks, etc.).

• Knowledgeable about blockchain signature schemes (e.g., a high-level understanding of ECDSA).

• Familiar with blockchain P2P networks (e.g., high-level understanding of peers and their discovery mechanisms).

• Proficient in Linux.

• Highly skilled in using the Linux shell.

• Well-versed in systemd, journald, etc.

• Strong understanding of server security principles (e.g., firewalls, public key authentication, vulnerability patching, etc.).

• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (e.g., subnetting).

• Knowledgeable in DNS and domain management.

• Experience with Ansible.

• Proficient in Ansible workspaces, playbooks, and other essential concepts.

• Competent with the Jinja2 templating language.

• Skilled in creating and maintaining YAML documents.

• Candidates with significant DevOps experience but limited blockchain knowledge will also be considered.

• Candidates must be able to engage in technical discussions in English, both written and spoken.
