DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• This role primarily involves taking ownership of our Linux systems, overseeing deployment and supporting a team responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of applications on these systems. This encompasses both custom and standard open-source as well as proprietary applications.

• Our ideal candidate will be capable of addressing at least the fundamental requirements for Windows DevOps and beyond.

• **RESPONSIBILITIES:**

• - Plan, design, and establish monitoring for our Linux and Windows applications along with the systems that operate them.

• - Implement integrations as requested by clients.

• - Design, plan, and assist the team in deploying updates and fixes.

• - Perform root cause analysis for any issues that arise.

• - Investigate and resolve technical challenges while providing resources to the team to prevent future occurrences.

• - Develop scripts to automate processes and updates.

• - Offer technical support and create procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• - Demonstrated experience with version control system administration, including managing the company’s version control system, remote code repositories, and branching.

• - Proficient in Linux server administration, managing Linux servers such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Debian (you can choose your preferred distribution).

• - Familiarity with web server administration, specifically managing Nginx and Apache web servers.

• - Experience in database administration, including managing databases and their servers.

• - Background in CI/CD and automation, overseeing the development pipeline and task automation.

• - Understanding of Development Security Operations, particularly regarding the management of development infrastructure security.

• - Experience with bash scripting (knowledge of Python and PHP is an advantage).

• - Experience in infrastructure and event monitoring, including monitoring infrastructure, resource utilization, and security events.

• - Proven expertise in cloud computing and virtualization, working with hypervisors and cloud service providers.
