DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Engage in hands-on Reliability & System Engineering: Create, develop, and maintain reliable and scalable systems by defining and monitoring SLOs/SLIs, working directly with production infrastructure, and collaborating closely with software engineers to enhance system design and reliability.

• Focus on Automation, Operations & Incident Response: Proactively build automation for infrastructure and operational workflows to reduce toil and minimize MTTR, take part in and lead incident response efforts, and facilitate blameless post-incident reviews with actionable follow-ups implemented in code and tooling.

• Emphasize Performance, Capacity & Security: Continuously assess and enhance system performance and costs, provide data-driven insights and recommendations for capacity planning, and uphold security best practices through hands-on vulnerability remediation and threat mitigation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in SRE & Cloud Engineering: Proven hands-on experience with SRE methodologies in production environments, strong proficiency in AWS, Kubernetes, networking, DNS, and Infrastructure as Code (with a preference for Pulumi, and Terraform as a bonus).

• Strong Automation & Software Engineering skills: Showcase solid software engineering principles with a focus on code quality and maintainability, including strong proficiency in Python and in-depth knowledge of the Python ecosystem.

• Reliability, Data & Operations experience: Incorporate stakeholder engagement and mentoring, such as leading incident response and root cause analyses, enhancing system reliability, and collaborating with stakeholders to propose solutions, share insights, and mentor colleagues.
