DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.

• Develop and oversee continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.

• Automate the provisioning of infrastructure and application deployments utilizing Terraform.

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications to guarantee high availability.

• Suggest additional tools and automation necessary for production logging and observability.

• Collaborate closely with developers and operations teams to facilitate smooth release cycles.

• Apply security best practices for managing resources on AWS and GCP.

• Address system outages or issues, offering troubleshooting and support as needed.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in DevOps.

• A minimum of 3 years working specifically with AWS services.

• Direct hands-on experience with GCP infrastructure and services.

• Familiarity with Azure fundamentals.

• Expert-level proficiency in Terraform.

• Extensive experience in constructing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Expert-level knowledge of GitHub Actions.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language, such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.

• Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting tools across AWS and GCP.

• Experience with version control systems like Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.

• Solid knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.

• Strong grasp of AWS and GCP cloud security principles.
