DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design a security-centric architecture.

• Apply security principles to create a robust system.

• Develop pipelines for automating deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes.

• Support cost optimization efforts for infrastructure.

• Provide assistance to development teams with infrastructure requirements and technical support.

• Be available around the clock for any production-related issues (Site Reliability).

• Manage all existing cloud infrastructure, including AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Elasticsearch, Elasticache, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience as a DevOps Implementation Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.

• Proficient understanding of Kubernetes and other orchestration techniques for Containers.

• Extensive technical, automation, and programming expertise across the entire enterprise SDLC.

• Thorough knowledge of enterprise software development tools and methodologies, including common enterprise application architectures, with the ability to write both scripted and compiled application and automation code.

• Practical experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, RDS, Route53, and others.

• Familiarity with next-generation infrastructure and application monitoring tools, as well as service discovery tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, New Relic, and Consul.

• An inquisitive mindset and self-motivated individual who can execute tasks with minimal supervision.

• Experience with DevOps methodologies and practices.

• Proven track record in deploying and maintaining infrastructure that handles high traffic (performance testing experience is a plus).

• Extensive practical experience with MySQL databases.

• Knowledge of modern Big Data technologies, including Spark or Hadoop, Kafka or RabbitMQ, ZooKeeper, Redis, Memcache, Lucene, and MongoDB.

• Proficient in scripting languages (preferably Python and/or shell scripting).

• Experience with configuration management for environments exceeding 100 servers (using tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
