DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

• Responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and ongoing enhancement of our mission-critical platforms.

• Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and leadership to design, deploy, and optimize the infrastructure that powers our products.

• Play a significant role in shaping our operational environment.

• Guarantee seamless delivery throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing Linux-based infrastructure.

• Practical experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Mongo.

• Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis, GitLab CI).

• Experience with orchestration and containerization tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Knowledge of deploying Node.js applications.

• Capability to deploy and maintain independent web-based tools, microservices, and solutions focusing on Kubernetes, Docker, NodeJS, and Prometheus.

• Ability to deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters effectively.

• Skilled in writing Helm Charts to integrate various components into a cohesive software solution.

• Experience in scripting and automation using NodeJS, Python, or Bash.

• Familiarity with managing a virtualized infrastructure based on XenServer with Ubuntu guests.

• Proficient in source control management using Git/GitLab CI and implementing GitOps practices.
